Introduction to Drawing with Arkansas Artist Jeanetta Darley

Learn How to Draw with my Introduction to Drawing Class

Was “be more creative” one of your New Year’s resolutions.  You know I am a big believer in the fact that everyone is creative.  Some of you have just convinced yourselves that you aren’t.  But you are lying to yourself.  Creativity is like any muscle and it needs to be exercised. And if you are local to Conway, Arkansas, you can exercise your creativity by signing up for my Introduction to Drawing Class.

Here’s is one of the biggest creativity myths about being an artist.  For some reason everyone believes you need to be born with some gift of being able to draw.  Yes, it’s true that some people are made with born with certain abilities that make it easier for them to excel at tasks.  But just like any new activity or trait we want to become better at it takes practice.  I have been drawing since I could old a pencil.  That’s going on 40+ years so, YES! I am going to be rather proficient at drawing.

But it doesn’t take 4o years before you can begin to notice improvement in a new creative venture.  Any time spent of learning a skill pushes you that much farther to achieving satisfaction with the task at hand.

I am also rather excited about my Introduction to Drawing Class too.  My over reaching goal for 2019 was to do all the “shoulds” I have been talking to myself about over the past few years.  One of those goals is to start teaching some drawing classes.  Another was to get an online shop started on my own website.  I’m checking off two “shoulds” with the creation of this class!

So I really hope that you will join me if you are near the Conway area.  And if you aren’t, don’t worry.  Some virtual classes may make it on the completed “shoulds” list.  I am looking forward and really motivated for 2019.  So stay tuned for all the new things I have planned. If you haven’t already sign up for my newsletter so that you can stay up to date on events and other ideas i have going on.
