The shell game

I can’t go to a shoreline and not gather a collection of shells.

The shapes and colors especially at the gulf have been spectacular. Even the small broken pieces. They look like they would make unique pieces of jewelry.

I roam around the beach with a sand castle bucket. Sifting through the sand for just the right colors and shapes. I know I must look a little odd at my age on such an intensive search.
A lot shells I have been finding at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge Beach have a small hole that has formed somewhere along the shell surface. I don’t know if the animal inside or the water has created this feature but it makes it perfect for running string through. So many options.
I have collected so many of them I just want a unique way to display themm. Not just a big jar. We have some fishing line with us so I just starting making a long chain of them. Starting with the largest.
