It’s been one whole year since my friend Jerusalem‘s book A Homemade Year appeared on book shelves. 

It was a labor of love and a lot of sweat and tears and probably a few glue gun burns.  I was never surprised that she would accomplish this at some point in her life.  This was the girl that introduced me to Griffin & Sabine, who accented her art projects with elaborate story lines, who wrote a sentimental summary of our college years for our closest friends upon the eve of their college graduation (she and I were on the 5 year plan). 

In the twenty years that we have known each other the fact that she would write a book just always seemed like a given and I feel honored to be a part of A Homemade Year.
